Privacy Policy

Domestic Builders LLC (“Domestic Builders,” “we,” “us”) builds and remodels homes in the Nashville area. This policy explains what information we collect through our website, domesticbuildersllc.com, and our client portal at domesticbuildersllc.com/portal, and how we use it.
Information we collect
- Contact requests. When you use our contact form we receive your name, phone, email, project type and message.
- Client portal accounts. If you are our client, we create a portal account with your name, email and, optionally, your phone number. Your password is stored only in encrypted form.
- Project information. Budgets, invoices and payments, schedules, progress photos, photos you upload, and messages exchanged in the portal about your project.
- Accounting data. If we connect our QuickBooks Online account, the portal reads the estimates, invoices and payments for your project so your budget stays current. We only read data for the customer record that matches your project.
- Basic technical data. Our hosting providers keep standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability.
How we use it
We use this information only to respond to inquiries, manage and communicate about your project, show you your budget, schedule and photos, and keep the portal secure. We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who can see it
Your project information is visible only to you, anyone you ask us to add to your project, and Domestic Builders. Each client can see only their own project. We use trusted service providers to run the site and portal (website hosting by Netlify; database, login and file storage by Supabase; accounting by Intuit QuickBooks). They process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for anything else. We may disclose information if required by law.
QuickBooks data
Our connection to QuickBooks Online is authorized by Domestic Builders through Intuit’s secure sign-in. Access tokens are stored on our servers, are never shown in the portal, and can be revoked by us at any time. We use QuickBooks data only to display project budgets, invoices and payments to the client for that project.
Security and retention
Connections are encrypted (HTTPS), passwords are hashed, photos are stored privately and shared only through short-lived links, and database rules keep each client’s project separate. We keep project information for as long as needed for the project, warranty and our legal and tax obligations, then delete it.
Your choices
You can ask us to update or delete your information, or to close your portal account, by contacting us below.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above.
